Q&A Events 1.8 - Event lifecycle

September 2026

Every event now has a beginning and an end. A licence covers a set number of consecutive days, the audience side closes by itself the morning after your last day, you get a recap with the numbers, and the event is archived after 30 days with exports still one click away.

  • Event length by tier - Basic covers up to 2 consecutive days, Extended 3, Pro 5; pick your dates when you create the event
  • Automatic close - the widget, overlays and public links switch to a branded "event has ended" page the morning after your last day
  • Wrap-up - a recap email plus a wrap-up card on the dashboard with the numbers, analytics, CSV exports and the post-event survey
  • Change dates from the dashboard - extend a running event within your tier's cap, or reopen a closed one by moving its last day
  • Archive after 30 days - read-only, exports intact, moderators and streamers signed off; delete the event yourself whenever you want
  • Upgrade after the event - a Basic or Extended event can still move up a tier after it ends to unlock analytics and exports

Q&A Events 1.9 - Analytics rework

With the trial flow shipped and the widget / overlay surface stabilised, 1.9 turns to the analytics layer. The analytics page recently got a cleaner, faster redesign - 1.9 goes deeper than looks, reorganising around engagement narratives (who participated, when did it peak, which questions actually moved the conversation) and adding per-session benchmarking.

  • Engagement timeline - audience attention over the course of a session, not just totals.
  • Top-question signal - which questions drove the most upvotes, follow-ups and on-air time.
  • Per-speaker breakdowns - if multiple speakers ran a session, split analytics by who was on-air at the time.
  • Better CSV / API exports - structured fields for post-event analysis and BI pipelines.
  • Comparison view - benchmark a session against your own past events at a glance.

Scope may evolve as we gather feedback from the first events run on 1.8.
