Run a live poll
Create a poll, put it live, decide when the audience sees the results, close voting and reopen it.
A poll is the quickest way to hear from everyone at once. You write it on the dashboard, put it live when the moment comes, and the bars move as the votes arrive, on your screen and, if you want, on the widget too.
1Create the poll
Click New poll on the Polls card. Type the question, fill in the options (add more with Add option) and choose how results display: a number, a percentage or a progress bar. Click Create poll. Nothing is live yet.
2Activate it
Click Activate on the poll. It appears on the Polls tab of every open widget with a small dot on the tab so people notice. Only one poll is live at a time; activating another one takes the first off the widget.
3Watch the votes
The live poll moves to the top of the card with its bars. Every vote updates the count in place. Voters can change their vote while the poll accepts votes.
4Show or hide results
Results visible decides whether the audience sees the bars. Keep it off while people vote if you want an unbiased answer, then switch it on for the reveal.
5Close voting and reopen
Switch Accepting votes off to freeze the poll. The bars stay on the widget, new votes are refused. Switch it on again to reopen.
6Deactivate, edit or delete
Deactivate takes the poll off the widget and back into the list, votes intact, so you can bring it back later. Edit changes the question or options. Delete removes the poll and its votes after a confirmation.
Every vote ends up in Analytics and in the poll votes CSV. See analytics and exports.
