The stream control page: on-air queue, manual and auto modes
How the on-air queue works, when to use auto mode, and how a streamer can run it without touching the dashboard.
The stream control page is the producer's desk: the queue of questions on the left, what is on air on the right, the overlay settings above. A streamer you invite gets this page and nothing else, so they can run the overlays without seeing the rest of the dashboard.
1The questions queue
Every approved question, searchable and sortable, each with a Go On-Air button. Tick Approved only to keep unmoderated questions out of the list when moderation is on.
2Manual mode
The default. You choose which question is on air and when it comes down. Nothing changes on the overlay unless someone clicks.
3Auto mode
Automatic shows every new question on the overlay as it arrives, one after the other. Good for a fast, informal stream. Pair it with moderation if you want a filter in front of the screen.
4Themes and colours
The theme, the shape and the light or dark scheme are set here and apply to every overlay for the event. The On-air preview card shows the current question; Send latest question On-Air is a quick test.
5Give a streamer access
Under Streamers at the bottom of the page, invite up to two people by email. They receive a login link, set a password and land on this page. They cannot see the dashboard, change settings or reply to questions.
