Change or extend event dates, and reopen a closed event

Move the last day within your tier's cap, reopen an event that closed, or close one early.

Dates are set when you create the event and can be changed from the dashboard as long as you stay inside your plan's cap. That covers the usual cases: the workshop runs a day longer, the event closed before the last question, or the whole thing is over early.

1Open Event dates

In the dashboard menu, choose Event dates. Close event now sits right under it.

The dashboard menu with Event dates and Close event now numbered
1 change the dates, 2 end the audience side right now.

2Extend within your cap

Move the last day. The picker only offers days inside the cap: 2 consecutive days on Basic, 3 on Extended, 5 on Pro, counted from the start date. Once the event is live, the start date is locked and only the end date moves.

The Event dates dialog with the locked start date and the end date field numbered
1 the end date you can move, 2 the start date, locked once the event is live.

3Reopen a closed event

Set the last day to today or later on a closed event and the audience side reopens: the widget comes back, the ended page goes away. The wrap-up card has an Extend dates button for exactly this.

The wrap-up card actions with the Extend dates button highlighted
Extend dates on a closed event reopens it.

4Close an event early

Close event now ends the audience side immediately: the ended page goes up, the wrap-up card appears, the recap email goes out. Polls that are live are concluded. Reopen later by extending the dates if you change your mind.
